Built to provide whisky for the Teacher's blend in 1898, this Highlander's main production is a peated whisky, but there is also a non-peated version called Ardlair (Ardless is its nickname) which accounts for around 40% of its output.
This Ardmore has been bottled by North Star; an independent bottler of fine whiskies, gins, rums and bourbons. The Glasgow based company produces only small batch releases without chill filtration and at a healthy cask strength.
