Lot number: 082-4124

Winning bid: £165

Kilchoman, which came online in 2005, was the first distillery to be built on Islay for 124 years - and it has garnered a sterling reputation in its short life span. With everything being carried out on site, from floor maltings, distilling and maturation to bottling, it is now one of the largest private employers on Islay.

A true legend in Scotland's whisky making history, "The Angels' Share" is a term for the measure of a distilled spirit's volume that is lost to evaporation whilst the whisky is maturing in its cask or barrel.

The Angels' Share Whisky Angel is a unique piece of hand blown glass.
Every angel is designed to hold whisky through a secret process, known only to the highly skilled craftsmen who have created it.

Holding 25ml of Kilchoman whisky, this design allows the spirit to be captured in molten glass without combusting.

Approximately 70mm in height, the angel is beautifully boxed and comes complete with a delightful story.

The whisky is not for drinking and is completely sealed, so you can keep your favourite dram forever. After all, "it's not your whisky, it's the angels' share".

Please examine all images of the lot, any packaging and labels carefully and satisfy yourself as to their condition before making a bid.
