This 10-year-old HERR Grand Arôme breaks away from any preconceived ideas about tasting, and in order to fully appreciate its many gustatory mood swings, the taster needs to remain on the ball at all times. Rapidly switching from strawberry sweets to dried fish, then castor oil to coconut, the initial nose perfectly illustrates the original character of this rum, rarely bottled on its own.'
