Tomatin distillery was founded in 1897 and spent most of it's life producing whisky for the blending industry. In the 1970s it was Scotland's biggest producer of single malt whisky. In 1986 Tomatin distillery became the first fully Japanese owned Scottish distillery when Takara Shuzo joined forces with trading company Okura.
The first 200 were bottled at 90cl and presented to staff and guests at their centenary lunch on September 3rd, 1997.
This decanter was handmade and hand engraved and the handmade nature of the decanters means that the fill levels can vary from decanter to decanter although 90cl of whisky was filled into each one.
Comes with pot still-shaped stopper.
