Lot number: 090-0873
Winning bid: £20
This bourbon was created by Joseph Washington Dant in the 1830s. He was famous for making whisky using a log still! This was a method used by settlers when they did not have the money for a copper still. A section of tree trunk would be hollowed out with a copper pipe running through it. The hollowed section would be filled with the fermented mash and steam fed through the pipe to start distillation
No longer produced in this manner, it is distilled at Heaven Hill, this is a miniature bottle of the J. W. Dant Bourbon.
40% ABV / 4.8cl
