Lot number: 092-3707
Winning bid: £55
Scapa was founded in 1885 and the majority of its production goes into blends including Ballantine's. Often described as the 'other Orkney whisky', Scapa is one of the last distilleries using a Lomond still. This one has had the rectifier plates removed to produce a classic pot still style of spirit.
This whisky was finished in peated casks giving it a lightly sweet smoky taste. As Scapa says, a gentle introduction to the world of peated whisky!
Bottled: 07.2017
40% ABV / 70cl
