Lot number: 092-4278

Winning bid: £45

Still a family owned company, Camus sold mainly to the Tsars of Russia until the revolution. They managed to avoid bankruptcy in the 1960s by striking a deal with American traders under the name of "Duty Free Shoppers", a relationship which is as strong today as it was back in the 1960.

Camus Extraordinaire was the winner of the overall Trophy for Best Cognac at the 1999 International Wine and Spirit Competition.
