A very warm welcome to our Christmas auction! Naturally our malty grotto is filled to the brim so if you’re not already pouring a large festive dram then please take a browse and see if you can pick up a treat or two. You snow the drill by now so let’s get started with what Santa has distilled for us.
Let’s begin with a little bottle Bowmore 1955! This special decanter was bottled for the opening of the visitor centre in 1974. Modest in looks this rare little wonder has cracking reviews and has become a mythical dram in the whisky world.
Bottled under the label of Ichiro’s Choice, we feature a Karuizawa 1994 Peated Golden Promise. This rather rare bottle was produced from an ex-Glenlivet sherry butt which produced only 505 of these little gems.
New releases this month include the arrival of the Folio 6 featuring Macallan's Chairman as a Scotsman dancing the Highland fling over a pen and brush. We’ll let you investigate that one further... Other arrivals include the new steely looking Ardbeg 25, not to mention Springbank's 17 year old madeira wood, tastyyyyy! Raasay also feature their inaugural release with a red wine finish and in a fossil encrusted bottle. Very pretty and a lovely colour too!
This auction also holds a fantastic choice of rare SMWS bottles including a Scapa, a Lochside and a couple of Glenfarclas’ not to mention many more to peruse.
Okay, that’s all from us folks. Go and treat yourselves, you’ve earnt it after this stonker. We’ll keep it short and sweet, however plenty more dynamic and varied drams to pick from and to help get you through the New Year! We hope you’ve had a lovely Christmas wherever you are in the world and look forward to seeing you all next year!
