An ongoing exploratory series of casks, specifically selected to examine the evolutionary influences on maturing Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky - the variables of age, vintage, wood, barley, storage location, humidity, heat and climate - the very essence if provenance.
This 'laddy was distilled in 1992 and spent 15 years in an American Oak Bourbon cask, before being given ACE (Additional Cask Evolution) ie - bunged into another cask for two years. In this case it was a wine cask from Bolgheri in Italy, where it spent more than two years. It was bottled on 01.09.09 for Cava Benito in Andorra. It is bottle no 333 of 335.
