Kavalan Solist

Kavalan Distillery was founded on an idea of taking Scottish methods of making whisky and importing that expertise to Tawian for a wholly-owned Taiwanese distillery. After a great deal of research investment, their spirits were finally brought to the world. The Kavalan Solist Sherry Cask is whisky finished in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks--somewhat of a tradition in finishing Scotch whiskies in Scotland--giving the spirit a "Latin heat, heroic and fun." It is named for the "earliest clan that inhabited the Lan-Yan Plain." The taste is described as having a "hint of sweet mango juice."
