The firm of Messrs John Scott was first formed towards the end of the 19th Century.

In late 2003, the firm of John Scott & Miller Ltd released two extremely limited bottlings of 'HIGHLAND PARK', under its own 'John Scott's' label.

These were bottled in conjunction with Duncan Taylor & Co. of Huntly, and derived from the contents of two quarter casks laid down in the Sixties by the present proprietor's late father (the former proprietor).

These have since sold out, but more similarly-aged examples have since been released. They are hand-numbered, single cask expressions bottled at their natural cask strength and colour, with the minimum use of filtration in order to retain the true character of the whiskies.

This 42 year old was distilled in 1967 and bottled in 2009. Cask no 6282, bottle no 18 of only 190 bottles. 70cl and bottled at 50.3%.

It comes from one of the final 12 casks laid down in the 60s and cask 6282 is the fifth and final bottling in the John Scott's range of Highland Park.
