Michel Couvreur is a Belgium-born negociant who imports Scotch whiskies to his facilities in Burgundy, France, where they undergo a slow aging process in sherry casks. While this may be unusual to say the least, the result is a simply lovely unfiltered whisky blended from more than fifty different malts.
Clearach is the term that Michel gives to his malt spirit that cannot legally be called whisky until it is 3 years old.
This is a Single Malt distilled in Scotland, matured in Sherry casks.
