Johnnie Walker 1805 Celebration Blend 75cl £16,000 Reserve
Lot number: 371267
Winning bid: £8,200
This is a very special celebratory bottle. To mark the 200th anniversary of John Walker's birth, Master Blender Jim Beveridge was set the task to create a suitable celebratory blend.
The resulting whisky was made from just 9 whiskies, which must have been a goliath task after having access to the largest collection of whisky in the world. The components are aged from 45 to 70 years old.
These 200 bottles were never made available to the public. Instead, Diageo selected 200 people who have made "a significant contribution to modern life" to give the bottles to.
Presented in a beautiful Victorian style wooden box, the bottle is nestled alongside a replica of John Walker's recipe book for the original blends and an antique fountain pen. The box comes with original key, should you wish to lock this box and it's precious contents away from prying eyes!
Perhaps the ultimate bottle of Johnnie Walker for the collectors out here, or just hoarders of shiny shiny rare whiskies. Either way, this is a very rare opportunity to purchase.... Well you see where this is going!
