The Ladyburn Distillery was built in 1966 in the south west of Ayrshire by William Grant & Sons Ltd.It remained hidden from public view, quiet and invisible, displaying none of the traditional hallmarks of malt whisky distillery. The final production took place on November 15, 1975.
William Grant & Sons has carried out only a very limited number of bottlings of Ladyburn malt whisky, since most of it went into Grant's blend, making it one of the rarest malts in the world.
