Lot number: 381007

Winning bid: £150

This is a very old bottling, we think it could be from the 1930's as it bears the warrant of the Prince of Wales, who later became Edward VIII. The bottle is in remarkably good condition considering its age! Boasting of being "free from colouring matter and all injurious ingredients" and being the gin "in the bottle with the square face".

The old label also advertises the bottle as having a report from the Lancet on the rear. This report was an analysis of the gin, which "possesses the peculiar delicate flavours associated only with genuine gin"! A real beauty, we're sure it will be a hit.

Please note the fill level of the bottle is on the low side, this can be seen in the reverse image of the bottle. The liquid is just underneath the embossed "Gordon's".
