This is an unusual bottle of Royal Lochangar, not often seen these days. Probably bottled in the early 1990s, before the distillery was acquired by United Distillers (now Diageo) in 1999. At that time, the bulk of this whisky was going into the company's blend; John Begg. The name comes from the distillery founder John Begg, who was the one to introduce Queen Victoria to the Deeside dram and it was to become her tipple of choice!
Age: 12 years old
