To mark the 5 year anniversary of the re-opening of Mitchell's Glengyle Distillery on the 25th March 2004 they released this 6 pack of different cask types. These 6 casks were filled with the first spirit to run of the stills and were laid down to be bottled for the distillery's 5th birthday in 2009. These casks were chosen with help from Willie Taylor from Broxburn Cooperage to ensure the highest quality possible.
They are samples taken from the 6 casks laid down in 2004 and later bottled as the 1st and only 10 year old Kilkerran in 2014.
This lot is the minis of the cask which were selected. They have been bottled at cask strength and are as follows:
Madeira Butt: 60% ABV / 5cl
Fino Butt: 59.1% ABV / 5cl
Bourbon Butt 60.3% ABV / 5cl
Oloroso Butt 60.1% ABV / 5cl
Rum Butt 60.6% ABV / 5cl
Port Butt 59.8% ABV / 5cl
Please note the slightly varying fill levels of these bottles.
