This is limited bottling of a Bowmore 30 year old for the 30th anniversary of Stanley Morrison's acquisition of Bowmore Distillery in 1963.
The story goes that on the 17th of July 1963 Stanley Morrison was dining in Malmaison restaurant, he then overheard two lawyers discussing the sale of Bowmore Distillery to an overseas group. Excusing himself from his lunch and his companions he contacted the proprietrix Kay Grigor to confirm this was the case and to persuade her that he should purchase the Distillery, and over dinner she agreed instead to sell the Distillery to him for £63,000.
