Bowmore 1972 36 Year Old Presontfield Islay

A very rare 36 year old from Morrison Bowmore bottled for the prestigious Prestonfield House, the five star hotel in Edinburgh.

Andrew Symington, who was assistant manager at Prestonfield House, wanted people to taste single malt whiskies at the hotel which where very uncommon at the time. He then started bottling malts under Prestonfield Whisky Company Ltd.

Andrew, along with his brother Brian then went on to form Signatory Vintage, putting into practice what they had learned at Prestonfield. So essentially the Prestonfield house range is a precursor to the Signatory range.
