Hello and welcome to the 49th auction and after last month's record-setting extravaganza we have slightly smaller but no less perfectly formed offering with more than 2,800 lots.

With Ardbeg and Laphroaig celebrating 200th anniversaries this yea, it is no surprise we see both well represented in this month's auction with more than 200 lots from Ardbeg, including four Single Cask offerings from 1976 Casks #2390 - 2394 and a 1990 Japanese Export as well a plethora of Committee Releases. Laphroaig brings us a 40 year old as well as plenty of the original 15 year olds, two 25 year olds and some Pre Royal Warrants.

There are three bottles from the 1930s, a White Horse bottled in 1937, a Findlater's Royal Prestige Decanter with whisky from 1939 and a mini that was bottled by Stodart's for A Century Of Progress Exposition Chicago 1934. From the 1940s we have a Macallan-Glenlivet 1940 37 year old and a Pride of Strathspey 1946.
The 1950s bring a us a King Of Scots 1957 32 Year Old, a Cadenhead's Mortlach 1957 22 Year Old, a Very Very Old Fitzgerald 1957 12 Year Old, a Highland Park 1952 from G&M and finally a Knappogue Castle 1951.

There are lost distilleries galore, from Port Ellen, Brora, Banff, Glen Albyn, Millburn, Lochside, Kinclaith and more across a range of years and bottlers.

Karuizawa shows strongly and well as Kavalan and Yamazaki, in fact the world of whisky with or without an 'e' is available at your fingertips and mouse clicks, so please feel free to browse away and get bidding.

All the best from the The SWA Team and as always - Don't lose your bottle!
