The first official bottling of this distillery was in 1990, only three years before the first official bottling of anCnoc. The name change was by recent purchasers Inverhouse who were worried about confusion with another distillery (Knockando).
Described by Jim Murray as “a malt that should adorn a shelf in every whisky-drinking home”, anCnoc 12 Years Old is light yet complex. Smooth yet challenging.
He told a tasting audience in Glasgow once that anCnoc is the only bottle he ALWAYS takes with him round the world, such is its consistency.
40% ABV / 70cl
