Back in 1980 the distillery manager Hamish Scott tried a small experiment, he created a small batch of unpeated and lightly peated whisky (We know; un-peated Ardbeg!!). He then combined these two spirits and created the Kildalton 1980.
This is not to be confused with the newer release Ardbeg The Kildalton Project (the only connection between the bottle is the Kildalton cross).
This very unusual bottle of Ardbeg was only released for the Ardbeg committee members and this whisky has become a bit of a legend around the Ardbeg connoisseurs
Bottled: September 2004

Please examine the images of the bottle, packaging and labels carefully and satisfy yourself as to their condition before making a bid.
