This is the new no-age-statement Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the famous Speyside distillery of Macallan. Macallan's new range has done away with age-statements and instead focuses on the colour of the whisky. The concept being that the older the whisky is the darker it will be... Regardless of how true this really is, it's certainly a great whisky packed with assertive vanilla and citrus flavours.

Glenfarclas;

Still in family hands since it was founded, theGlenfarclas Distillery is one of Speyside's independent whisky producers. The Grant family have been running Glenfarclas since 1860, producing an individual Speyside malt that many whisky enthusiasts number as one of their favourites. The water source is melt water from the slopes of Ben Rinnes which runs through granite and heather before reaching Glenfarclas(meaning 'the valley of green grass'). With a long history of bottlings stretching back to the early 20th Century, both proprietary and independent.

This limited release of Glenfarclas 2003 vintage was limited to Marks and Spencer. This is a traditional Speyside malt with a heavy Sherry influence coming from a single 2003 vintage.
