This single grain whisky is from the mysterious Kawasaki distillery - a distillery that vanished in the mid/late 80s leaving nothing but casks in various vineyards and Chichibu. Now most of its stock is owned by Ichiro Akuto. There have been only 8 releases of Kawasaki. The word 'rare' applies here.
This is the 4th of the Ghosts - a series of rare whiskies all with labels from the famous Japanese artist Yoshitoshi's ''New form of 36 ghosts'' bottled for Nonjatta blog. The original prints were made from woodblock printing. He was the last artist to use the technique. This one is a print of a Badger disguised as a priest taking a nap in Morin temple.
It is the only known specimen from the 1980 vintage.
