Built to provide whisky for the Teacher's blend in 1898, this Highlander's main production is a peated whisky, but there is also a non-peated version called Ardlair (Ardless is its nickname) which accounts for around 40% of its output.
Founded in 1895, Gordon & MacPhail have been bottling single malt whiskies for 120 years and by the 1950's they held the largest range of bottled malt whiskies in the world. This family run business have bottled the oldest single malt whisky in the world as well as being distillers themselves after buying Benromach in 1993.
