The Powers distillery was founded in 1791 in John's Lane by the Power family and they were one of the first distilleries in the world to bottle their own whiskey.The distillery was vastly extended in 1871 and covered 7 acres and employed roughly 300 people.
The grain and pot still whiskies in this blend are matured exclusively in American Oak casks and bottled at 40% without chill filtering which makes it unique in Irish whiskey.
