Lot number: 099-03339

Winning bid: £40

Started in 1827, when farmer's son George Ballantine set up a small grocery store in Edinburgh supplying a range of whiskies, Ballantine's has risen to be the second largest selling blended whisky in the world. Blended from 50 malts, the backbone of the blend comes from Miltonduff and Glenburgie distilleries.

The 21 year old is a really refined blend, dependent on 50 single malts and four single grains. Ballantine's bases its whiskies around malt whisky from distilleries from Glenburgie and Miltonduff.

With aromatic flavours of stem ginger, ground cinnamon and liquorice, this rare 21 year old blended scotch whisky delivers notes of captivating spice.
