A warm welcome one and all to our August auction and while summer is slowly coming to an end, the whisky fun is only just beginning. There’s a diverse range of malt-magic delights to pick from as well as some new releases so let's not waste a second.

A first through the doors for us is the Tobermory 1973 42 Year Old. This is some of the oldest spirit to come out of the picturesque island distillery since it reopened in 1972. To the back of the sleek metallic box hides a print of the colourful Tobermory village by Angus Stewart. A stunning looking bottle for what we are sure will be a fantastic dram!

Next, check out the signed bottle of Glenfarclas by Phil Collins! This bottle is certainly an “easy lover” for anyone and from what we know the bottle was used so raise support for the Moray hospice. So “take a look at it now” and get some bids on it!

Continuing on the rarer side of things we have in a Bowmore 1964 38 Year Old Oloroso Cask. This is part of a trilogy released by the distillery; the other two being a Fino and a Bourbon cask. 1964 is known as Bowmore’s golden year with other well-regarded iconic releases coming from the same batch such as the infamous Black Bowmore.

Moving over to the Mull of Kintyre we have a few indie Springbank releases! The first being a 1967 20 Year Old from Prestonfield. We’re always a sucker for some interesting label artwork so if you like peacocks and you like old sherried Springbank, then this is the bottle for you! Secondly we have a few summer 2019 releases from Douglas Laing’s brand new XOP Black Series. These Springbanks have been maturing in sherry hogsheads for over 24 years and are sure to be ultra tasty drams.

For all you whisky nerds out there (and we know there’s plenty of you) we have a healthy spread of both Chichibu’s 1st and 2nd Edition Intergalactic Series. The first bottles from this space-themed range were released this year with the labels and idea coming from Dutch bar owner, Werry van Leeuwen, and Vienna Distribution immediately chose to progress with the two-cask set. The labels feature retro robotic Sci-Fi illustrations and when the bottles were put up for online sale, they sold out in seconds!

Folks, this is just a few to get you started but there’s plenty more interesting and diverse bottles in this month’s auction for you all. So get scrolling and searching and remember...don’t lose your bottle!
