Hi folks and welcome to the 67th auction – an absolute behemoth of an auction, and the biggest we have ever done. That makes it one of the biggest in the world of online whisky auctions – if not the biggest ever.

And we have plenty of tantalising tinctures to whet your appetite. But first, what’s not here. There’s no Big Petrie, the Herald of Hallo! He’s headed for pastures new, to a softer life plumping cushions and selling sofas. We’ll miss his unique take on life, his passion for whisky, running, and finding the hottest sauces for his weird and wacky lunch concoctions.

But on to the auction and a veritable treasure store lies within. Macallan immediately catches the eye with a handful of venerable vintages from the 1930s. We have Glen Grant celebrating its half century, Old Pulteney slightly younger at 40, vying with a similarly aged Bowmore from 1960, and a luscious Longmorn, also 50, and from 1964. A gorgeous Glenfarclas from 1953 - aged 58 years - also makes a stellar appearance.

We are proud to present a Nikka Single Cask Collection - all nine bottles – a Nikka Taketsuru 35 year old and a host of heavenly Karuizawas, including the 1983 cask 8333 and the 33 year old Noh from 1984 from cask 2030.

We’ve got a fabulous old bottle from the wreck of the SS Wallachia and several of the best blends from the last century. We’ve got hundreds and hundreds more, too many to list here – and an added bonus: the falling price of the pound means your auction wins can cost you less than ever before.

So there’s no excuse; no reason not to dive in, have a good look around and place your bids. Auctions favour the brave – so don’t lose your bottle!

Kind regards from the SWA Team in Glasgow
