Founded in 1895 Gordon & MacPhail have been bottling single malt whiskies for 120 years and by the 1950s they held the largest range of bottled malt whiskies in the world. This family run business have bottled the oldest single malt whisky in the world as well as being distillers themselves after buying Benromach in 1993.
This is a bottling of Balblair, a highland distillery which moved from its original location across Balnagowan estate in order to be closer to the rail network. Unfortunately the nearby Edderton station subsequently closed in 1960.
