Given the high quality of the base wines that year, Laurent-Perrier decided to ‘declare’ the 2004 vintage and produce an unblended Champagne from that year. As in other recent vintages it is blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, the former from the Grand Cru villages of the Côte des Blancs and the latter from the Montagne de Reims.
