Lot number: 075-0999

Winning bid: £85

Signatory was founded by Andrew Symington in 1999. After discovering single cask single malt whisky while managing Prestonfield House Hotel, Andrew bought his first cask, a Glenlivet 1968, and is now one of the largest independent bottlers in Scotland. As of 2002, Signatory Vintage Whisky company is also the owner of the Edradour distillery.

This expression from Signatory was distilled at Bunnahabhain, which started production in 1883 and currently the majority of the spirit it produces is lightly peated, although since 2012 around 20% of the output has been peated at 35ppm. Sheltered from the Atlantic, this lighter Islay whisky has an important role in Cutty Sark as well as Black Bottle, while its standing as a single malt has increased since it dropped colouring, chill filtering, and increased the bottling strength of its core range to 46.3% ABV.

This was specially selected and bottled for German Single Malt Whisky Fans.
