The most northerly of Scottish whisky distilleries, Highland Park was founded in 1798 and is one of the most highly regarded single malts in the world, the great Michael Jackson calling it, "The greatest all-rounder in the world of whisky." and Paul Pacult awarded it, "The Best Spirit in the World." in 2005. The unique peat of Orkney gives the whisky a distinctive heathery sweetness.
This bottling is the oldest of the Orcadian Vintage Series from Highland Park. This special vintage is the culmination of two casks being vatted together, allowing for 290 bottles to be produced at cask strength.
