The 125th Auction

Sláinte spooky spirit friends, and welcome to our terrifyingly tremendous Halloween Auction! As the world leaders come together in our city to clean up the environment we have been busy cleaning up whisky collections around the world. This month boasts a massive selection of potions to (trick or) treat yourself!

Our first demonic dram comes from the dark depths of Japan and has taken the rather unsettling form of a Kingfisher wielding a golf club… pretty creepy huh? This rare bird rarely migrates to these parts and tends to stay in hiding. We were lucky enough to find one roaming the local graveyard at night. Filled to the beak in 1987 with Suntory’s finest reserve to honour Japan’s most prestigious golf tournament, this spooky surprise is not one to be forgotten!

Next out the coffin come two Speyside Grandfathers that are sure to lift your spirits…

Aged in the dungeons for half a decade we have the spooktacular Glenfiddich 1939 50 Year Old. This old-timer has lived through some interesting times, from World War 2 kicking off to the moon landing, he has seen it all and is now looking for a new home to spend the rest of his malty days. Perhaps one day he will come out of his bottle to share the knowledge he has gained from 5 decades in fine oak.

Across the road from our slumbering Glenfiddich, another Speyside Spirit was haunting the warehouses, the Glenfarclas 50 Year Old Family Collector Series III. This beast has been creepin’ it real for 5 decades summoning demons from the cask and sharing spirits with the angels. Only 937 of these dark destroyers ever existed in our world. These highly sought after releases have a colour as dark as Satan’s lair and look completely eerie-sistible!

Lastly we have a real Islay Monster Mash in the Ardbeg Auriverdes 4.5 Litre. A gigantic, golden beam of light shining out of the darkness. Just in time for Christmas celebrations this big peaty poltergeist will make a brilliant attendee to any whisky lovers celebrations. This beauty was only for sale in a few ambassador shops and rarely shows its face in public.
