Located upon the breathtaking Loch Sunart, Ardnamurchan distillery is a comparatively new powerhouse which opened for production in 2014. Champions for green manufacturing, the distillery and all of its by-products are environmentally friendly and entirely sustainable. Ardnamurchan uses malt from Broomhill Farm and boasts two whisky styles; one peated and one unpeated, using American and European oak and ex-sherry casks as well as American oak ex-bourbon casks.
Each bottle has a scannable QR code which reveals complete details of the spirit from barley to bottle.
The Ad/Venture release was bottled to raise funds for the charity The BEN; Scotland's Hospitality and Licensed Trade Charity. On top of this release, the Ardnamurchan team undertook a 180 mile walk starting from their bottling warehouse in Fife to the Ardnamurchan distillery in the western highlands.
