Highly prized for blending, Balmenach uses a worm tub to achieve a 'meaty' aspect seldom seen in Speyside whiskies. The fingerprint malt in InverHouse's Hanky Bannister blend, there are no official bottlings of Balmenach but it is bottled as a single malt by Aberko and called Deerstalker. In 2009, the distillery began production of Caorunn gin which has become one of the biggest super-premium gins in the UK.
Independently bottled by Atom Labs as part of the Forgotten Gems series, this release comes from the last drops of their rare stocks and hand bottled in tiny batches. Limited by nature and unrepeatable.
