Peerless Distilling Company began in 1889 and originally operated as Worsham Distilling company throughout the 1880’s. With Henry Kramer purchasing the Distillery in 1889, he would go on to become a central figure in the survival of the town of Henderson throughout the changes of Prohibition and the Great Depression. It was the completion of the L&N train line which connected the town of Henderson to the larger cities of St Louis & Louisville, allowing the industries within Henderson to prosper.
In March 2014, the first barrel of Peerless was once again in the barrel. This new legacy of Peerless now includes the Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey and Bourbon, creating a new era in which Peerless Distillery will undoubtably flourish.
