Lot number: 168-04235
Winning bid: £110
The name of this bourbon is attributed to the famous American gunsmith Henry Derringer. He designed The Philadelphia Deringer - a popular concealed carry percussion handgun of the era. Because of their small size and easy availability, Deringers sometimes had the dubious reputation of being a favoured tool of assassins. The most famous Deringer used for this purpose was fired by John Wilkes Booth in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.
This small batch bourbon comes in an exquisitely designed decanter with its very own Deringer stopper! The whiskey has a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley.
Cask Type: New Charred White Oak
46% ABV / 75cl
