Glenburgie 18 Year Old Ballantine’s Series #1

One of the four signature malts of Ballantine’s blended whisky, Glenburgie began life in 1810 but was completely rebuilt in 2004. Just two years later, two more stills were added. The distillery made history in 1927 when it appointed a female distillery manager, Margaret Nicol. 

Ballantine’s status as the second largest seller in the world accounts for the fact that Glenburgihe’s sightings as an official single malt are as infrequent as those of the Loch Ness monster. Allied only bottled it once and Chivas Bros. has only ever included it in its limited edition Cask Strength.
