James Eadie’s X Blend 100 Proof Batch #1

When Rupert Patrick decided to use his great-great grandfather’s name, James Eadie in his new venture, he started by looking through old ledgers and tracking down forgotten blends. James Eadie was born near Gleneagles establishing his brewing and bottling business in 1854 and his whisky was known as “an ancient Scotch mixture that was dispensed to a favoured few”. Reviving the old blend, Patrick invited one of Scotland’s finest Master Blenders, Norman Mathison to bring his ancestor’s whisky back to life. The company is now establishing itself as a single cask and small batch independent bottler.

James Eadie’s quality Scottish blend is made with care and elegance to create a delightful and rare whisky experience. It keeps its original name as in 1877, Eadie took advantage of the new Trade Mark Registration Act to register the standout ‘X’ logo and become one of the world’s first trademarks.
