Perhaps Scotland’s prettiest distillery, the distinctive double pagodas are much photographed by tourists and whisky fans alike. Due to the connection with the adventurous James Barclay, Strathisla is at the heart of the Chivas Regal and Royal Salute blends; indeed the distillery’s visitor centre is called, “The Home and Heart of Chivas Regal.”
As well as existing as a component in these popular blends, there is a 12 Year Old core expression and a cask strength Distillery Reserve Collection bottling.
Chivas Brothers have created a Distillery Reserve series and a special Cask Strength range uniquely available at distillery visitor centres. The expressions are bottled at cask strength to offer the enthusiast something different from the core range bottlings usually offered by Chivas Brothers: a special reward for fans prepared to make the pilgrimage.
