Lot number: 172-00303

Winning bid: £25

First launched in 2021, this whisky was distilled at a renowned Glasgow distillery by two of Scotland’s most acclaimed distillers. King’s Inch was developed, to specification by the late master distiller Jim Swan. One of his final commissions, the mantle of distillation of this precious spirit was then passed to experimental distiller Jack Mayo. A reflection of Glasgow’s spirit of innovation, cutting edge distillation methods have been used to produce an exceptionally characterful and smooth lowland single malt.

King’s Inch uses hand selected bourbon barrels and oloroso sherry butts. The core range is presented at 46% ABV without colouring or chill-filtration, King’s Inch is an approachable yet characterful Single Malt Whisky, much like the residents of its home town of Glasgow. Named after the old imperial measurement of an inch, and a forgotten island in the Clyde
