Lot number: 172-01260

Winning bid: £300

Built to provide whisky for the Teacher’s blend in 1898, this Highlander’s main production is a peated whisky, but there is also a non-peated version called Ardlair (Ardless is its nickname) which accounts for around 40% of its output. Due to how prominent and significant its role as a base for a blend is, Ardmore is rarely found as a single malt, but a determined few followers seek it out as an independent bottling.

Released in 2018, this 30 year old stands as one of the oldest bottling to come from the distillery, it shares this title with a 30 year old that was released in 2008.

Distilled: 1987
