Plans for the distillery began in 2014 when Tom Mellor and David Thompson, the company directors, decided to make Yorkshire’s first ever Single Malt whisky distillery. The distillery, which was commissioned in 2016, is situated on two separate locations with one at Tom Mellor’s farm and the other being just down the road in Hunmanby.
Spirit of Yorkshire produced their Distillery Projects range to celebrate the maturing process and development of their whisky.
