In recent decades, the company has acquired several distilleries including Glengoyne and Tamdhu and has also launched the bold and intense Smokehead Islay Single Malt.
An exquisitely aged version of the classic Smokehead, this Extra Black edition has been matured for 18 years, lending an extra depth and complexity to the smoke, sweet-peat, and coastal profile. Since its release, guesses on the single malt within have ranged across all 8 distilleries that existed at the time - with a popular theory claiming it to be Ardbeg - but the true identity of the dram remains a mystery.
