After having served in the French military as a paratrooper commando, Denis Charpentier made his first trip to Japan. In 1984 he found an opportunity to become a broker for wines that were heading for the Japanese market. Denis Charpentier, with his vast knowledge and at the request of one of his clients, decided to make his first cognac. His sense of smell and keen instincts didn’t fail him as he became the winner of the best overall cognac at the prestigious IWSC in 1993.
By 1997 Denis Charpentier and Mika Fukusaku, now partners in life as well as business, created the Eternity Whisky and during the next four consecutive years received awards for the Best Scotch Whisky at the IWSC.
