Old Sunny Brook Kentucky Bourbon Circa 1970’s 75cl
Lot number: 173-01788
Winning bid: £110
The Rosenfield family, known as “The Sunny Brook Boys,” built the Sunny Brook brand into one of the largest distillers in America in the early 19th century, with a significant presence at the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair where it won a gold medal.
Sunny Brook bourbon was then sold to National Distillers during the Prohibition era. The brand changed hands again before Jim Beam acquired it, and the original distillery was closed in 1975. Today, it is a blended whiskey with a different, more budget-friendly profile than its earlier, more prominent history.
We estimate this was bottled circa early 1970’s.
