Built by Pernod Ricard in 2014 on the site of the old Imperial distillery and named for the nearby pool on the River Spey, Dalmunach is a stunning modern piece of architecture, not to mention environmentally friendly. As former production director for Chivas Brothers Douglas Cruickshank had actually started his whisky career at Imperial, he made sure the design for the new distillery gave a nod to the character of the old one using brick from the original mill.
The first Dalmunach official bottle not sold directly through the distillery. Bottled for The Whisky Exchange as the first part of their Scottish Mythical Creatures Series, with two more creatures to come.
