That Boutique-Y Whisky Company bottles Scotch single malt and grain whiskies from a variety of renowned distilleries. These whiskies are adorned with humorous puns presented in cultish comic-book style labels: the purpose is to tell the histories and stories of distilleries or prominent figures in the industry but in a new exciting way. It’s not all fun and games though, as they were awarded World’s Best Blended Whisky at the 2015 World Whisky Awards.
The label depicts a trio of cats, inspired by the grammatically inept felines of the internet. In this instance, a mother cat is scolding a ginger tom (Clynelish), telling him she’d prefer him to be more like his older brother (Brora).
This is a reference to the fact that, in the whisky world, Clynelish is often (unfairly) made to play second fiddle to the now-silent, nearby distillery Brora...
