Mitchell & Sons were a merchant family who began trading in Dublin 1805. Their original brand of ‘Spot’ was last seen around the 1960’s and is the inspiration behind this bottling. The name comes from the family practice of marking their casks with a different colored painted spot to signify the age of the whisky in the cask.
Gold Spot Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is a fitting celebration to mark 135 years since the Mitchell family, legendary Dublin bonders, created the hugely popular Spot family of whiskeys.
